Science seminar on millets held

Imphal, September 26 2023:
The Department of Education (S) (Science Unit) organised a State level students' science seminar 2023 on the topic "Millets - A Super Food or a Diet Fad?" at MSFDS Hall, Palace Compound today.
Altogether 12 students participated in the seminar.
Prizes were handed over to two selected winners while mementos were distributed to the participating students.
Speaking as the chief guest, L Nandakumar Singh, Director Education (S) lauded various districts of the State for participating in the seminar on such short notice.

Saying that the students selected through the State level seminar will represent Manipur at the national level science seminar, he urged these students to work hard to bring laurels for the State.
Taking the prolonged closure of schools into account, he urged the student community to focus on their studies and future career and not divert their attention on strikes and rallies.
The event was also attended by Bisheshwar Khumukcham, Addl Director, Education (S/V); Dangmei Manglem, Addl Director, Education (S/H) and Soraisham David Singh, Senior Administrative Officer, Education (S) as the functional president and guests of honour respectively.
