Imphal, February 26 2017: The individual who was arrested by officials of the Forest Department while clearing and burning a portion of Langol Reserved Forest has been sent to jail.

According to a source, Kakap Gangte, from Churachandpur who is currently residing at Langol Games village was arrested by a patrol team of the Forest Department on February 24 while he was trying to burn a a portion of the forest.

He was produced before CJM, Imphal West Court yesterday which sent him to jail till March 12, it added.
