Moreh, July 25 2022: Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya Power @ 2047 Bijili Mahotsava & Ujala Diwas was celebrated at Gamnom Veng of Moreh on Monday with Tengnoupal deputy commissioner Manmuanching, additional SP O Sukumar Singh, MSPDCL Tengnoupal Division nodal officer Solomon Khondang and additional deputy commissioner L Bobi Singh as the presidium.

Speaking at the function, Manmuanching pointed out that several development programmes have been taken up as a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav with provision of uninterrupted power supply given the top priority.

While pointing out that advancement in technology, electricity can be generated even from garbage, she expressed confidence that organising of such event will help create awareness among the people judicious usage of electricity.

Later, films were screened about the benefits of electricity and providing of solar lights to far flung places.
