Imphal, January 25 2023:
The Politburo Standing Committee of Kangleipak Communist Party has decided to impose a total ban on any form of events celebrating the Republic Day of India, said a statement issued by the proscribed outfit's deputy secretary, information and public relations department, M Punsiba Meitei today.
"The Republic Day of India, robbed us of our National right to self-determination in 1949.Indeed, the decision has been taken in view of the fact that organising any such events in Kangleipak can have a legitimizing effect on India's occupation of Kangleipak, reversing which is the only means of our survival as a unique Nation and keeping our overall National identity intact in the long run," said the outfit.
Some "political puppets of New Delhi" have been trying very hard to "discredit and destroy the armed liberation movement of Kangleipak as a whole" with the help of "Indian occupation forces" and through "propaganda and lies about so-called development activities" .
These "lies are conveniently spread" on occasions such as the Republic Day celebrations.
So the people of Kangleipak need to cross-check what these "political puppets" seek to spread on such occasions so that the grim realities brought about by the prolonged "Indian occupation of Kangleipak are not lost on us," it said.
It appealed to the people to actively "boycott" the Republic Day celebration and convey to the "colonial" Government of India the message that the people of Kangleipak "can never be cowed down and will always stand for the restoration of the sovereignty of Kangleipak" .
