Thoubal, December 24 2024: As observed across the globe, National Programme for Control of Blindness and Visual Impairment (NPCBVI) Thoubal under the aegis of National Health Mission and NPCBVI observed World Sight Day, 2024 at District Hospital Thoubal today.

The event held under the theme "Children, Love Your Eyes" was graced by Deputy Commissioner Thoubal, Ahanthem Subhash IAS as chief guest, Chief Medical Officer Thoubal, Dr Y Nokul Singh as president and Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Thoubal as guest of honour.

Addressing the gathering, NPCB & VI, District Nodal officer, Dr Birbal Okram emphasized on the importance of protecting eyes and vision.

DC Subhash in his address encouraged the people for early eye treatment and the maintenance of overall eye health.
