Dy CM to give away Huihchim Awards

CCPur, December 24, 2013: Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam would give away Huihchim Awards-2013, also known as Gangte People's Award, during a function at Chiengkonpang Community Hall, Churachandpur on December 30 at 11 am.

The award would be given away in different categories like academic, Songs and Music, social service, literature, Outstanding Person of the Year, Personality of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Awards have been instituted by Huihchim (The Breeze), a bi-lingual monthly magazine in Gangte & English which hit the Newstand since August 2013, with the main objective of recognizing the skills and talents of Gangte People, to honour the achievement and accomplishment of Gangte people in his/her chosen field, to celebrate excellence in all walks of life of Gangte People, to harness and motivate the youngsters for bigger achievement and to acknowledge one's devotion and commitment for the overall development of the Society.

The Deputy CM would also unveil the renovated Memorial Stone of "Gangte Pasalpha" Demkhosiek on the occasion, during which various artists would be performing.
