PHE minister L Dikho listed for National Corona Warrior Award

PHE minister Losii Dikho has been selected for presentation of the National Corona Warrior Award in the field of social work.
According to a press release issued by Dalit Sahitya Academy Manipur on Wednesday, altogether 65 people from Manipur were selected for national and international awards which will be distributed during the inaugural function of the 35th Rastriya Samarpan Vijay Diwas to be held on July 12 at Rajendra Bhavan, New Delhi.
Losii Dikho has been leading from the front in tackling the pandemic by donating the first TrueNat machines and medical items to Senapati District Hospital when Covid-19 hit the state in March 2020 .
Since then, he has been periodically providing medical items like oxygen concentrators, oximeters, PPE suits, masks, hand gloves, fogging machines to District Hospital, PHCs and organisations.
He recently donated Rs 15 lakh for purchasing and installing OT equipment for Covid-19 positive pregnant women.
Moreover, he has delivered three dedicated ambulances to PHCs of Paomata, Laii and Mao.
From trekking to remote villages to deliver medical items personally with his wife Martha during the present pandemic to physically monitoring Covid-19 situations of Senapati and Kangpokpi districts, the minister has been very much involved in dealing with present health crisis.
He has also been credited for setting up one of the best quarantine centres for returnees last year at his native village Punanamai.
On various social media platforms, many have acknowledged and lauded the two-time MLA from Mao assembly constituency and minister on being selected for the said award.
The awardees have been selected from different walks of life which include awards like National Corona Warrior Award conferred on nine people, Global Corona Warrior Award 2021 to one person, Bharat Ratna Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar International Award 2021 to one person, Babu Jagjivanram International Award 2021 to one person, International Young Star Award/Pride of Sri Lanka to two people, Social Scientist National Award 2021 to one person, Kala Kshetra International/National Award 2021 to four people, Indian Achiever Award 2021 to three people, Babujagjivan Ram National Award 2021 to two persons, Swami Vivekananda National Award 2021 to one person, Birangana Savitribai Phule National Award 2021 to one person, Rastriya Jyotish Ratna Sammman Padak 2021 to one person, Bharat Excellency Award 2021 to five people, Shikshak Ratna National Award 2021 to two people, Dr BR Ambedkar National Award 2021 to 25 people and Pride of India Young Star Award 2021 to six people.
