17 sent for home quarantine

CCpur, May 23 2020: Altogether 17 people who had recently returned to Manipur were given the green signal to return home after spending the mandatory 14 days institutional quarantine centres and having tested negative for the virus at the district headquarters here.

They will however remain in quarantine at home for another 14 days, a statement released by the District Surveillance Office said.

A good number of other returnees including those at Singngat CQC had been sent home earlier but the exact figure could not be received as the authority concerned may have opted to do them discreetly or their press release, if any, is not endorsed or sent to the press.

The DSO today also claimed that 185 samples were collected and sent to Imphal, even as it added that sample collection will continue tomorrow despite being a Sunday.
