Thoubal, April 23 2017: As part of Khongjom Day observation, a voluntary blood donation camp was organised by Thoubal district administration and District Health Society, Thoubal at Khongjom War Memorial Complex today, reports our correspondent.

The camp was held under the aegis of National health Mission and State Blood Cell, Manipur and in association with Voluntary Blood Donors, manipur, Thoubal Branch, 2 Bn Assam Rifles, Thoubal, NSS Unit of Waikhom Mani Girls' College, Thoubal, Department of Immuno Haematology and Blood Transfusion of RIMS, Lamphelpat, Blood Bank and Services of JNIMS, Porompat and Blood Bank and Transfusion Unit of Thoubal District Hospital.

Altogether, 150 volunteers donated blood during the camp.

On the other hand, Khongjom Day was also observed by KM Blooming Higher secondary School, Khangabok, Patriotic Writers' Forum Manipur and IRE Group of Institute.

As part of the Khongjom Day observation, a quiz competition was held at District Library cum Youth centre, Athokpam Thoubal.
