ALT appeals to stay transfer order

Chandel, February 23 2016: While expressing deep resentment over the mass transfer of 14 teachers of United College Lambung, Chandel, Anal Lelruwl Tangpi (Anal Students Union) has appealed to the concerned authority to stay the transfer order immediate ly.

The college itself has been reeling under shortage of teachers for the last 3 - 4 years, it lamented. The union in a statement charged that instead of appoint- ing the required teachers, the authority concerned has transferred more teachers from the college leaving the col- lege with a mere handful of teachers. The union further asserted that the college has suffered enough due to the alleged bias attitude of the State Gov- ernment.

The union will resort to strikes and agitation in collaboration with other civil bodies if their appeal is ig- nored, it stated.
