Imphal, September 22 2012: Capping off her illustrious academic career, Joymala Moirangthem has been awarded Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical and Electronics Engineering by SRM University, SRM Nagar, Kattankulathur on her thesis 'Robust Protective Relay Setting and Co-ordination Using Adaptive Differential Evolution in Power Systems' .

She is the daughter of Moirangthem Jayantakumar Singh Moirangthem Ongbi Monorama Devi of Nagamapal Kangjabi Leirak.

Joymala did her research work under the supervision of Dr Subhransu Sekhar Das, Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, SRM University.

Earlier, she passed her Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in first class from Anna University, Chennai in 2006 and Master of Engineering (Power System Engineering) in first rank from Anna University in 3008 .
