Candle light vigil in memory of Salouni

Senapati, July 22 2014:
Around 1000 people which included students, leaders of civil societies, women organizations, religious leaders and businessmen gathered at Traffic point, Senapati Bazaar an staged a candle light vigil to show their solidarity to the bereaved families of Late K.Wilungbou Chawang, Oklong Village and A.Salouni, Tungjoy who were brutally murdered at South Delhi Delivering a short speech on the occasion, L.R.John, ex-President, SDSA and SDSA Tribunal General, said that they cannot remain silent spectator when their own brothers were killed mercilessly.

Vice President of NPO, Adakho questioned what good will be there to go to Delhi for higher education if so many talented scholars are killed without any mercy and "How many dead bodies are we yet to receive from mainland India?" He also urged the public to stand firm till justice is brought.
Paul Leo, Convener of Alternative Arrangement and an ex-President, UNC, said that the two youths were mercilessly killed like animals in the jungle.
Various cases of murder, assault, harassment, rapes etc.
on people coming from the North East were reported every now and then just because, they come from the NE.
People from the NE also reportedly congregated at Jantar Mantra, New Delhi as well as in different parts of NE to light candles in memory of the two murdered youths.
