Private schools in Kangpokpi to be closed indefinitely

Kangpokpi, February 22 2017: Sardar Hills Private Schools' Association (SHIPS) has resolved to close all private schools indefinitely from tomorrow to condemn the continuation of monetary demand by various UG parties.

SHIPS, the conglomerated organization of all private schools within Kangpokpi district said, "it is a matter of great concern for the private schools within SHIPS that in spite of various appeals and initiatives from our well wishers to make education a free zone, we continue to receive monetary demands on a regular basis from various outfits." The association further stated that they have decided on such a drastic step not to oppose any particular organisation but to seek their cooperation on the daily struggle regarding education sector.

While urging the authorities concerned within the district to resolve the matter and bring an amicable solution at the earliest, it also appealed to all organizations operating within Kangpokpi to exempt private schools from monetary demands.
