Social worker inaugurates wooden bridge at Kwakta

Moirang, August 21 2020: Social worker Abdul Barik inaugurated a wooden bridge that connects Ward no 4 and 5 of Kwakta Municipal Council under Moirang Assembly Constituency, today.

The construction cost of the bridge over Moirang River was borne by Abdul Barik in the name of his late brother Abdul Latif.

Abdul Barik is a resident of Ward no 5, Kwakta Municipal Council.

Locals of the two Wards also took part in the inaugural programme by adhering to COVID safety guidelines.

At the function, one of the locals urged the State Government to construct one pucca bridge that connects Wards of Kwakta Municipal Council at the earliest for the sake of commuters and durability.
