Imphal, January 20 2013 :
Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA) has appealed to Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) to monitor the application for correction of date of birth of the students.
In a statement by its Secretary Publicity Angouton Khuman, KSA pointed out that a large number of students are flooding the office of BSEM to correct their date of birth and BSEM is issuing new certificates to students by taking Rs 300 as fee.
The students and their parents have written the correct date of birth before matric examination, and so how it could be possible to commit mistake by such a large number of students?, the student body questioned.
On the other hand, the possibility of some students taking the advantage of the situation for changing their date of birth for personal gain could not be ruled out, Angouton said.
