ADC Sadar Hills celebrates Advent Christmas for good governance

Kangpokpi, December 19 2018: With a motive to stir up and strengthen unity among its employees and staffs while promoting peace and harmony, Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council, Kangpokpi celebrated Advent Christmas today at its Multi-purposes Hall, ADC Sadar Hills Complex, Kangpokpi DHQs.

The Advent Christmas was organized under the theme, "For unto us a child is born" based on Gospel Luke chapter 2 verse 11 .

Haokholal Hangshing, Chairman, ADC Sadar Hills; Thangjakam Misao, Vice Chairman; Executive Members and Members of ADC Sadar Hills and T Manihar Singh, MCS, Chief Executive Officer, SHADC Kangpokpi attended the celebration as guests while Rev J Lunkim, Pastor KCC attended the Advent Christmas celebration as speaker.

Employees and staffs of Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council, Kangpokpi also attended the celebration apart from delegates of KCK (Kangpokpi Christian Khangthahte) and other local civil bodies' leaders.

Lhingkhonei Lotzem, Addl CEO, SHADC Kangpokpi conducted the sequence of the celebration programme while Chinnu Kipgen, Inspector, SHADC Kangpokpi impressively arranged the dance and song of Christmas hymns during the function.

Two male dancers from among Councillors of ADC Sadar Hills and another two female dancers from among the employees and staffs of SHADC Kangpokpi were paired in every dancing and singing of Christmas hymns during the celebration which was the main highlight of the programme.

Speaking at the function, Haokholal Hangshing, Chairman ADC Sadar Hills recalled the collective struggles and efforts of all employees and staffs of Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council Kangpokpi for the welfare of the people and expressed his gratitude to all the employeess and staff for showing unity and determination.

He said that the vision of life that Advent Christmas gives us is twofold; it looks back to the first coming of Christ at Bethlehem, and it looks to the future when Christ will come again and added that let us look back to our performance of the past year and also look forward for better performance in future.
