Imphal, November 18 2017: District police of lmphal West and Bishnupur carried out cordon and search operations in various parts of the districts today.

The search operations were conducted as security measures in light of the coming Manipur Sangai festival and the President's visit to the State.

A team of Imphal West police, under the supervision of SP Themthing Ngasangva and under the command of Additional SP N Modhunimai and led by OC Imphal West Inspector P Achouba, conducted cordon and search operation at Ningombam near Tulihal International airport from 6 am to 7.30 am today.

Almost all the houses were searched by the police team and three individuals were detained and taken to Singjamei police station for proper verification.

On the other hand, a team of Bishnupur police station, under the supervision of SP, H Jogeshchandra and led by QC Bishnupur Commando, Inspector Khogen, conducted search operation at Ngangkha Lawai under Moirang police station, today morning.

No one was detained during the operation.
