Imphal, July 18 2022: Accepting the charge sheet submitted by Singjamei police station against Gurumayum Birachandra alias Molecule in connection with a 2020 murder case, the District and Sessions judge Imphal West framed charge against the accused under IPC Section 47, 302 and 25(1-B) Arms Act, on Monday.

As per the report submitted by police, Gurumayum Birachandra shot at his neighbour Gurumayum Surajkumar of Chingamathak Ngakraba Leirak on November 21, 2022 at 11.30 am after which the victim died of gunshot wound.

During the investigation, police recovered a mobile ambulance (MN05A 6135), which the accused used in fleeing after committing the crime, from Sega Road Thouda Bhabok Leikai.

Police arrested him on November 24 and he confessed to committing the crime.

Consequently, police also recovered the double barrel licensed gun used in the committing the crime.
