Imphal, June 18 2018: A media interaction programme for Binita Ningthoujam, who secured the 1st rank for the State in NEET-UG 2018, was held at COMET Coaching Centre yesterday.

Binita Ningthoujam is the daughter of N Bheigya Singh and N Dame Devi of Khangabok Part I, Khullakpam Leikai.

She secured the 1st rank for the State in the NEET-UG 2018 in her second attempt, by securing a total of 579 out of 720 .

She secured 3210 in the all India rank.

Speaking to media persons, Binita said that she had sent in her application for All India Conselling and the lists will be issued on July 19 or 20 .

She claimed that she applied for the All India Counselling as she want to study in Delhi and at the same time, is she is selected, then other candidates who failed to secure a seat in the State will be able to do so.

The colleges that she applied for in the All India Counselling are Lady Harding College (Delhi), Maulana Azad College, King George Medical College (Lucknow), DU Medical College and Guwahati Medical College.

She dedicated her success to her parents, her teachers, teachers of COMET and the teachers of various tuition centres where she studied.

Binita further expressed desire to become a neurologist and to travel and work in various countries.
