Health kits distributed

In a bid to promote physical well being, health kits comprising protein, iron and vitamin supplements were distributed to elderly persons and children today during a programme held at Hayenlabuk Upper Primary School.
The health kits were distributed by Unit Of Science And Educational Development (UNISED) and IIT Kanpur with the support of Oil India Limited as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The distribution programme was organised in collaboration with Wangkhem Assembly Constituency MLA Keisham Meghachandra and One Home Foundation, Wangkhem.
Wangkhem AC MLA K Meghachandra; Wangkhem Block Congress Committee president Haji Keramat Ali; UNISED IIT Kanpur Chief Advisor Md Altab Khan; Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) spokesperson N Bhupenda Meitei and General secretaries Md Wahidur Rahaman and Md Amir Hussain graced as the presidium members of the occasion.
Speaking as the chief guest, K Meghachandra said that the health kits are distributed to promote physical well-being of elderly people and children and to ensure that they remain fit and fine.
Apart from the distribution of health kits, preparations are underway to distribute stationery items to children, he said.
In today's programme, health kits were distributed to around 118 elderly people of Hayenlabuk.
