IRB men involved in killing dismissed

Imphal, August 16 2014 : Two Riflemen of 1st IRB, who were involved in kidnapping and killing of one non-manipuri businessman, namely, Sankerlal Swami S/o Jeevanlal Swami of Badhal, Jaipur District, Rajasthan but was staying in Imphal, have been dismissed from service after a departmental enquiry.

According to a statement issued by S.Gautam Singh, MPS, SP/NAB, Manipur �cum- PRO, Police Department, Manipur, the two Riflemen namely, RFN.

NO.112005777 Yumnam Dinesh Singh and RFN.

NO.092001247 Laishram Herojit Singh were involved in F.I.R Case No.2(1)2013 u/s 302/364-A/34 IPC and 25(1-B) Arms Act of Imphal Police Station, which was registered in connection with the killing of the non-manipuri businessman after kidnapping from Kangla on January 2, 2013. The dismissal order was issued by the Commandant of 1st IRB, Churachandpur on 12th August, 2014 after the completion of Departmental Enquiry initiated against the two riflemen, the PRO added.
