JSRTA submits memos, warns to stay away from exam duty

The Joint SSA and RMSA Teachers' Association Manipur (JSRTA) submitted a memorandum to the Governor highlighting its grievances.
Meanwhile, the association, in a memorandum submitted to the secretaries of BOSEM and COHSEM, has warned that SSA & RMSA teachers will refrain from carrying out their duties at the upcoming HSLC and HSE examinations if State Government fails to being an amicable solution to solve the matter at the earliest.
A statement of JSRTA apprised the Governor that approximately 3500 SSA and RMSA teacher were appointed on regular basis at different batches since 2011 under the Department of Education (S) Manipur.
Maintaining that the teachers are deprived of their basic rights as enjoyed by regular teachers under State Government although they were appointed on regular basis, it asserted that the teachers have been receiving their monthly salary on an installment basis since their joining.
It stated that avenue/ promotion to the next higher post has not been provided to them even though many of them have been in service for 7/8 years.
It asserted that no positive actions have been taken up by the Chief Minister and authorities concerned till date even after memos were submitted to them regarding the matter.
The association appealed the Governor to do the needful for the SSA & RMSA teachers.
