Imphal, February 16 2017: The preliminary round of the 13th Best of AMMIK, 2016 was organised at SEACO Club, Yaiskul Janmasthan by Apunba Manipur Matam Ishei Kanglup (AMMIK) today.

23 individuals participated in the preliminary round which was organised for contestants from Imphal East and Imphal West.

Speaking at the event, Sagolshem Tijendra, president of AMMIK, said that today's event was originally scheduled in September last year but had to be postponed due to unavoidable circumstances.

He further apologised to the members of AMMIK who failed to get the news on time and the people for the inconveniences caused and the hurried schedule of the event.

A total of six candidates, three each from Imphal East and Imphal West would be selected in the competition and these six contestants will face off in the Mega Final which will be held at Chandrakriti hall on February 26 and which will also feature the contestants who passed the preliminary rounds of different districts, he added.
