JAC suspends stir, arrested persons released

Imphal, January 16, 2011:
JAC against the brutal killing of Dr N Kunjabihari, Chairman, BSEM suspended its agitation against the state government as the state Chief Minister assured them to translate their demand.
A talk among the JAC members, decease's family and CM took place today at around 10.15 am.
MLA Bijoy Koijam also took part in the talk.
However, the JAC said that they will continue its agitation if the state government failed to translate the demands laid by the JAC.
The eight arrested members of JAC were released today foillowing the talk between JAC and state CM.
Later JAC and family members of late Kunjabihari took his dead body from RIMS mortuary and cremated at his birthplace after being taken through Naoremthong, Tera, Kwakeithel, Khagempalli, Pisum and Singjamei.
Meanwhile, JAC appealed to the people of the state especially to those who were affected by the agitation of JAC to forgive them for causing inconveniences to them.
They also expressed gratitude to the people for their participation in the agitation.
