Entrepreneurs call on Governor

Imphal, July 15 2024:
Senior entrepreneurs led by N Irabanta Singh, Chairman, UNACCO School along with Dr Kh Palin and eight others called on Governor Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan this evening and submitted a memorandum requesting forextending support to the entrepreneurs in the State.
According to a release issued by Raj Bhavan, N Irabanta and others apprised the Governor about the hardships faced by entrepreneurs in loan repayment due to the ongoing turmoil in the State for the last 14 months.
"It has affected all quarters of business establishments and setups impacting a huge deficit and burden of loan repayment.
Besides these, entrepreneurs have to face pressure which is totally unacceptable and unbearable", they said.
The Governor, while listening to their hardships, assured to extend possible support from the Raj Bhavan and also asked them to seek advice from the Chief Minister, who is the Finance Minister of the State, to address their concerns.
Moreover, a team of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) led by Gautam Philem also called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan this evening and submitted a memorandum demanding to open Undergraduate (UG) and Post Graduate (PG) colleges in every districts in the State.
They also apprised the Governor about the current scenario of the education sector with respect to the existing inadequate infrastructure and manpower and the delay in disbursement of scholarship to the students.
The Governor assured the delegation that she will extend all possible assistance in the best interest of the student community of the State.
