More protests staged at Jiribam demanding release of student leaders

Jiribam, December 13 2019:
Manipuri Student's Federation (MSF) District Committee Jiribam has urged the authorities concerned to release its general secretary Aheibam Ratan Singh who was arrested by Jiribam Police on December 10, without any condition.
Speaking to media persons during a press meet held at its office at Babupara, Jiribam, (MSF) District Committee Jiribam's president, A Rajiv Singh said that the arrest of its worker who wasn't involved in any violence activity by the District Police is 'con-demnable' .
Further urging the authorities concerned to release its general secretary unconditionally at the earliest, A Rajiv cautioned that different forms of agitation will be launched if the demand is not met.
The press meet was also participated by MSF District Committee Jiribam, working president Sabir Ahmed; organising secretary W Surjit Singh and assistant secretary, A Lanchenba Meitei among others.
On the other hand, another press meet was also held at the office of Jiri College Students Union (JSCSU) at Kadamtala, Jiribam.
During the meet, the union urged all concerned to release all the arrested student's leaders of Jiribam at the earliest.
Demanding the release of 6 students leaders 'unconditionally', volunteers of AMSU, MSF, DESAM and KSF took a protest rally from Jiribam Higher Secondary School up to IB Karong.
The protesters chanted slogans such as "Long live Manipur" and "Release the student's leaders without any condition" .
