Many greet on Cheiraoba

Governor Dr Najma Heptulla has extended her heartiest greetings to the people of Manipur on the occasion of Cheiraoba, which falls on April 14 .
Cheiraoba, which symbolizes the coming of New Year, is observed by every Meitei household following Hinduism with great enthusiasm and gaiety, reads a message of Dr Najma.
Saying that the festival rekindles hopes for a better life, the Governor urged all to strive towards the goal of bringing peace, prosperity and progress in every household of the State.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh too greeted the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasion of Chei-raoba, 2019.Conveying that the festival, which marks rejuvenation of the spirit of life and family relationship, heralds the arrival of New Year, the CM prayed for the festival to bring joy, prosperity and peaceful coexistence among all the people of the State.
Works Minister Th Biswajit Singh too conveyed his greetings and best wishes to the people of the State, particularly Hindu brethrens on the occasion of Cheiraoba.
May this festival rekindle peace, prosperity and brotherhood among different communities residing in the State, said the Minister.
Greeting all the people of the State on the occasion of Cheiraoba, All Manipur Gorkha Students' Union (AMGSU) also prayed for the festival to bring joy, peace and unity among all communities in the State.
