"Being a public leader from the area, I need to clarify that I have no such attitude towards the villagers and have never threatened or meet Kaphaoleng Angkang or even spoke to him on this issue at any point of time.
It is unfortunate to see people having vested interest are trying to disturb the developmental work," said the MLA 43-Phungyar (ST) AC K Leishiyo in a statement today.
"All necessary process including land donation by the Headman has been obtained by the concern DC .
The development work is being taken up after fulfilling all the necessary process as required by the rule.
If there is further clarification requires, concern DC may be contacted," K Leishiyo said in the statement.
As it is the dream and desire of the people of the area to have a full fledged functioning block, he has been taking keen personal interest in realising the project for a fully functioning block, he said.
The MLA in his statement further requested Kaphaoleng Angkang to clarify the 'false allegation' levelled against him within 7 days.
He will be compelled to take legal course of action and file defamation suit against Kaphaoleng, if he fails to clarify, said the statement.
