Jiribam, December 12 2016: All Jiribam Road Transport Drivers' Union, Jiribam, has condemned the violence at Jiri-Imphal Road Drivers' Union office and Foreigner Check Post at Jiribam by truck drivers yesterday.

The union general secretary M Tombabu Singh in a press meet held at Jiribam today said the destruction of office banner was uncalled-for.

Jiribam Road Transport Drivers' Union was constituted with the sole aim to assist truck drivers, Tombabu said adding that the drivers should have intimated their problems to the union before resorting to violence.

He has further appealed to all the concerned to repeat similar acts in the future.
