Meitei Pangals celebrate 140 years of settlement at Hiyangthang Tarahei Konjin

Thoubal, October 12 2024: A solemn event was held commemorating the settlement of the Meitei-Pangal community at Hiyangthang Tarahei Konjin for 140 years at Hiyangthang Tarahei Konjin Mayai Leikai Community Hall today.

The event was organised by the Observation Committee of Meitei Pangal's Settlement at Hiyangthang Tarahei Konjin, as per a press release issued by Buyamayum Idrish Ali, convenor.

The event was graced by Buyamayum Md Alauddin as the functional president; Khullakpam Salim Shah as the chief guest and Buyamayum Salauddin as the guest of honour.

Buyamayum Sajid and Moulubi Babul addressed the gathering on the occasion.

Towards the end of the ceremony, the gathering paid their respects to their departed elders and offered prayers for peace and harmony to return in Manipur.
