Chakpikarong, October 12 2015:
After the makeshift bridge over Chakpi River was swept away by flood waters on October 9, over 500 students of the lone Chakpikarong Government High School in town have no way to reach the school.
Due to poor attendance, the school authority has decided to shut down the school until an alternative route or a foot bridge is constructed, informed Anal Lenruwl Tangpi (ALT), Chakpikarong branch on Monday.

Meanwhile, it has also been reported that daily normal life has been affected due to the absence of the bridge.
Briefing media persons here in Chakpikarong, ALT appealed Government and responsible authorities intervene so as to mitigate the hardships endured by the people particularly the student community.
