One-day awareness on "Drive on PC and PNDT Act" conducted

Thoubal, February 12 2025: As part of the 10 years celebration of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) Scheme, the District Programme Officer, ICDS Cell Thoubal under the initiative of District Administration, Thoubal organized a one-day awareness programme on "Drive on PC and PNDT Act" at the office ofRural Voluntary Services, Wangbal today.

The event was graced by Chief Medical Officer, Thoubal, Dr Y Nokul Singh as chief guest, DPO, ICDS Cell Thoubal, N Parango Singh as president, and secretary of RVS Wangbal, Babita Devi as guest of honour.

It was also attended by Dr A Rajen Singh, DNO, PC & PNDT, Ch Basanta Singh, District Program Officer and Nalini Devi, supervisor as resource persons.

At the event, the resource persons highlighted various schemes launched by the Government for girl child and also stressed on the topics of PC & PNDT Act.

Later, children of RVS children homes were distributed note books and pens and also conducted a tree plantation drive as part of the programme.
