Nungba, December 11 2019: Chairman of Kaiba Kamei Clan Nungba Village, Kadigaipou Kamei has alleged that corrupt practice has been adopted in the Village Authority election of Nungba village.

Kadigaipou added that the VA election which was held on December 10 at Nungba village has not followed any proper process to authenticate and verify the genuine voters.

"No fair head counting was done due to violence in the midst of the election", Kadigaipou stated.

He further stated that the election started without any plantation pertaining to the election rules under the Village Authorities Act 1956 and concluded inside a closed door.

He claimed that there were proxy voters participating in the election as the concerned election staff failed to verify the natives of the village and the SDO left the spot before the head counting was completed.

Kadigaipou Kamei then urged all concerned to nullify the election result at the earliest.
