All Manipur Hill District Contract Basis Teachers Assn appeals

Imphal, August 11 2021: The All Manipur Hill District Contract Basis Teachers (Welfare) Association appealed to all concerned to revoke all orders/policy or recruitment of pre-primary teachers and graduate teachers before a final and justified solution is in place regarding the prolong plights and grievances of the 2006 Hill District contract basis teachers.

In a press release, the Association strongly denounced the State Government's measures to conduct a written examination for engagement of 120 pre-primary teachers and 923 Graduate teachers on August 14, 2021 as per the notification of Education (S) Department, Govt of Manipur and termed it as an injustice to the 2006 Hill District contract basis teachers recruited on merit basis with special local preference as per the order dated May 18, 2006.The 2006 Hill District contract basis teachers were randomly extended till Aug 30, 2008, physical verification and recommendation for extension was made with no practical effect and original documents and physical verification was also done for further official actions earlier as per the different Government's order however no concrete measures have been taken up till date.

Therefore considering the plights of the said contract basis teachers, the Association appealed to all concerned to revoke all orders or policy or recruitment of teachers for the time being.
