Imphal, November 10 2024: Observing the World Immunisation Day, Assam Rifles organized a comprehensive awareness drives and medical camps across several villages including Sehlon, Kovang, Kachinbung, Tuitong, Old Samtal, and New Samtal from November 1 to November 10.The initiative aimed at educating local communities on the critical importance of immunisation, particularly in areas with limited access to healthcare services, said the Assam Rifles in a statement.

The campaign featured distribution of information leaflets and posters placed in key locations to highlight benefits of immunisation in preventing infectious diseases and safeguarding family health.

Children actively participated in rallies, chanting slogans, to promote vaccination/immunisation awareness, said the AR.

Informative lectures were also conducted to emphasise the significance of timely vaccinations for individuals of all age groups.

Additionally, medical camps offered health check-ups and consultations, encouraging residents to adhere to regular vaccination schedules.

The initiative reflects Assam Rifles' ongoing dedication to supporting public health efforts and fostering community well-being, AR added.
