State logs seven cases with TPR of 3.68 PC

Imphal, April 10 2022:
Government bulletins on Sunday reported seven new positive cases of Covid-19 out of 190 samples tested, registering 3.68 per cent positivity rate against 1.11 per cent re corded on Saturday.
No death cases were re ported in the last 24 hours and the toll stands at 2120 .
Till date, the virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated persons of which 61 had received second doses.
In the last 24 hours, four patients were discharged from home isolation (3) and Covid Care facilities (1) .
Number of active cases rose to 44 out of which 22 (50 per cent) are in home isolation.
There are 299 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 189 in RIMS.
Out of the 16 districts, only three reported fresh Covid cases on Sunday.
So far, the state has recorded 11,368 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 62 new positive cases and zero fatality.
The weekly number of new cases and new fatalities are 37 and zero respectively.
According to official reports, all the seven fresh cases (1 male & 6 female) are from among the general population and they are from Imphal West (3), Thoubal (2) and Ukhrul (2) .
All necessary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place.
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 1,37,156 (general population - 1,32,142 and CAPF personnel - 5,014) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,34,992 (general population - 1,29,985 and CAPF personnel - 5,007) and number of active cases is 44 (general population - 44 and CAPF personnel - 0) .
The recovery rate is 98.42 per cent.
A total of 77 D-type and 24 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours.
With the administration of 700 vaccine doses on Saturday the cumulative number of vaccinated people has reached 15,48,006, out of which 11,88,390 had received the second and 67,809 precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48,729), Imphal East (30,436), Thoubal (10,153), Churachandpur (11,052), Kangpokpi (3130), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9831), Senapati (2492), Ukhrul (3274), Kakching (6893), Chandel (2718), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1200), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036) and Pherzawl (465) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (704), Imphal East (511), Thoubal (189), Churachandpur (168), Kangpokpi (67), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (205), Senapati (12), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (122), Chandel (42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (15), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,201 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,652 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,17,195 tests per million population against the national average of 5,65,428 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.55 per cent while the cumulative positivity rate stands at 8.55 per cent.
