Imphal, February 10 2025: Individuals willing to give their statement in connection with the vandalism/destruction/burning of 10 churches on May 4, 2023 have been instructed to contact the Officer-in-charge of Arong Nongmaikhong Police Station, Kakching.

A press release issued by the Officer-in-charge of Arong Nongmaikhong PS has assured that the identity of those giving their statements in connection with this case will be kept confidential.

The churches which suffered damages are Arong Khunou Baptist Church-Arong Khunou, Believers Eastern Church-Arong Khunjao, Arong Nongmaikhong Baptist Church-Nongmaikhong, Believers Eastern Church-Nongmaikhong Chingjin, Meitei Presbyterian Church-Lairok, Meitei Presbyterian Church-Sarik, Evangelical Church of India-Tokpaching Awang Leikai, Evangelical Church of India-Tokpaching Mayai Leikai, Reformed Presbyterian Church-Tokpaching Heitroipokpi and Meitei Presbyterian Church-Tokpaching Chandonpokpi, as per the press note.
