Imphal, June 09 2020:
United Association of Recognised Schools of Manipur (UARSoM), concerned with the rampant mismanagement of quarantine centre has appealed to the State Government to ensure the prestige and credibility of quarantine centre turned schools are not reduced.
UARSoM, in a statement, said that many schools, as a mark of support and solidarity to the State Government's fight against COVID-19, have been allowed to utilize it as quarantine centres to host/keep the State natives returning from many parts of the country.
UARSoM, however expressed fear that the credibility of the school would be lost, if the news of chaos at quarantine centres due to mismanagement, is amended and addressed properly at the earliest.
While asking the State Government to strictly adhere to guidelines issued by WHO and ICMR in maintaining quarantine centres, the association also requested to take up sanitation and other measures that will sufficiently reduce the fear created in the minds of parents who would be sending their children to the schools in the near future.
