Phaidaam Baptist Church condemns

Imphal, May 09 2016: Purum Pantha (Phaidaam) Baptist Church, Chandel and Purum Pantha village authority have condemned the alleged assault on Sk John Lamkang and his wife by unknown persons yesterday night at Kwakeithel Takhel Leikai.

The couple along with Purum Pantha (Phaidaam) Baptist Church Pastor Lunkhosei Haokip were returning home after dropping Pastor Elvis Nehlal Haokip of Lajangphai Village, Tuibong, Churachandpur who at- tended as resource person in the Mother's Day celebration of the Church.

They were stopped by a group of unidentified persons at Takhel Leikai at around 11 pm who started attacking the trio and damaging their vehicle without any reason.

The miscreants allegedly took away cash amounting to Rs 80,000, ATM cards and other important documents from the trio.

Purum Pantha (Phaidaam) Baptist Church, Women and Youth Department along with the Village Authority have ap- pealed the authorities concerned and Takhel Leikai Club to look into the matter at the earliest.

Chandel Naga People's Organisation (CNPO) has also condemned the incident.

They have urged the authority concerned to book the culprits at the earliest.
