Imphal, April 07 2019: Patanjali Mahila Divas & Bharat Nav-varsh Mahotsav was held at Chinga Mathak and Chingmeirong Maning Leikai yesterday.

The programme at CRYDA Community Hall, Chinga Mathak Manipur College Road, Imphal West, Manipur on Saturday, April 6 was attended by more than 200 delegates from Patanjali Yoga Centres across Imphal West with Joybala Yumnam, social worker, N Neelima Devi, Rajya Prabhari, Mahila Patanjali Yog Samiti, Manipur, S Ulka Devi, social worker, B Snehlata Devi, Life member, Mahila Patanjali Yog Samiti, Wangkhei Pukhrambam Leirak, Imphal East and Dr Memcha Devi, District TB Officer, Imphal West as presidium members.

6th AR also assisted in the observance of the women's day, said a statement of Mahila Patanjali Yog Samiti today.

The observance at Sinam Shyama Devi Town Hall, Chingmeirong Maning Leikai, Imphal East was attended by more than 170 delegates from Patanjali Yoga Centres across Imphal East with Dr H Priyoshokhi Devi, Professor & Head, Dept of ENT, RIMS, N Neelima Devi, Rajya Prabhari, Mahila Patanjali Yog Samiti, A Sarda Devi, Director, North-East Handloom & Handicraft, B Snehlata Devi, Life member, Mahila Patanjali Yog Samiti, Wangkhei Pukhrambam Leirak, Imphal East as presidium members.

15th Assam Rifles, Chingmeirong post assisted the Mahila Patanjali Yog Samiti in organising the event.

The programmes focused on empowerment of women.

Resource persons and dignitaries highlighted the issues women are facing.

Their talks covered on legal rights, gender equality, domestic violence and others, said Mahila Patanjali Yog Samiti.
