Education Minister distributes PC sets and text books to colleges

Imphal, February 06 2021:
Education Minister S Rajen Singh today distributed Personal Computer sets (PCs) and textbooks to the colleges under the Government of Manipur.
The distribution programme was organised by the Directorate of Education (U) under Mission 2.5 NAAC.
During the distribution programme held at the conference hall of Directorate of Education (U), Rajen stated that the Government has been taking up all possible efforts to promote the education system in the State.
He said that the grievances of the Government college teachers will be taken into consideration as per the feasibility of the State Budget and will be discussing the matter with the Chief Minister minutely, he added.
He maintained that PCs and textbooks are being distributed to selected colleges of the State for the first phase.
Additional colleges will be provided with the set of PCs and textbooks in the next phase as per the requirement.
The Minister also appealed to those who are undergoing agitation regarding implementation of pay anomalies to maintain calm as it will be processed after the ongoing budget session.
Suggestions from all sections are welcomed regarding the upliftment of education system in the State, he added.
He further informed that after the budget session is over, interior hill regions of the State will be visited and various infrastructure backlogs in the education sector of these areas will be studied so as to provide basic requirements.
Director of Education (U) Dr Rangitabali Waikhom and other officials were also present at the function.
