'State, Centre responsible for killing of 13 youths'

Imphal, December 05 2023: Strongly condemning the killing of 13 Meetei youths after being brutally tortured by armed Kukis at Leithao village in Tengnoupal district and terming the killing as an act of cowardice and inhumane, veteran politician Okram Joy has categorically state that both the state and the Centre must be held responsible for the killing.

O Joy informed The People's Chronicle that no side will benefit from the incident and both the warring sides will only be the losers.

Accordingly, both the state government and the Centre must pay attention to end the violence.

He also expressed his deepest condolences to the martyred 13 youths and prayed for their souls to rest in peace.

He also shared pains and grief of the bereaved families.
