LMG extends monetary aid

The Like Minded Group (LMG) has extended monetary aid to the tune of Rs 7000 to the family of Late Ningthoujam Anjali, Class VII student of Uyal High School, who passed away on October 28 .
Anjali, daughter of Ningthoujam Sharat, was allegedly found hung to death on the aforementioned day, as per a press release issued by Rakesh Naorem, publicity secretary, LMG, Manipur.
With no home of their own, the bereaved family has been living at a relative's house in Wangbal Part II under Khangabok AC.
Speaking to the LMG team, Anjali's older brother shared the family's plight in detail.
He said that his little sister had been in distress as their father has been missing for the last six months and the family did not have enough to eat, let alone a home of their own.
At this juncture, he highlighted the hardships faced by poverty-stricken families due to delayed distribution of PDS rice and appealed for timely distribution of the same.
Meanwhile, Ojit Sorokhaibam, secretary, LMG Manipur called upon the public at large to extend help to those without homes or rations to meet their daily needs.
He was accompanied by LMG members Jayadeva Sambanduram, Surjit Ngangomcha, Boinao Maibam, Sarat Kshetrimayum and Dusarat Kshetrimayum among others in the aid initiative.
