Awareness drive on black money, GST lined up

Imphal, November 05 2017: BJP Manipur has lined up a series of awareness programmes on black money and GST which would commence tomorrow .

Speaking to media persons today, BJP Manipur Pradesh general secretary (administration) K Saratkumar said that the awareness programme would be held in accordance with a directive of the party's central office .

The programme would continue till November 9 and tomorrow's opening event would be held at Khundrakpam in the form of a Yuva Sammelan at 11 am .

The awareness programme is primarily aimed at educating the masses about black money and GST .

The sammelan would be opened by Chief Minister N Biren and he would speak about the positive impacts of demonetisation on the country's economy and the benefits it yielded to neighbouring countries .

On November 8, Chief Minister N Biren and BJP Manipur Pradesh president K Bhabananda would speak to media persons at the party's Nityaipat Chuthek office at 11 am about corruption and black money .

A number of public meetings would be organised on the same day at all BJP mandals about demonetisation and black money, Saratkumar said .

Notably, November 8 marks completion of one year demonetisation .

On November 9, a mass rally would be taken out at Imphal against corruption and black money.

The rally would be flagged off by N Biren and K Bhabananda, Saratkumar added.
