Chief Secretary promises to speed up Govt activities

Manipur Chief Secretary O Nabakishore has promised to speed up developmental activities and said that officers have been asked to focus on works which have been set as priorities by the State Government.
O Nabakishore said this during a programme which felicitated him on becoming the Chief Secretary of the State.
The programme was organised by All Club Organisation and the people of Ningthoukhong on Sunday at Ningthoukhong Public Ground.
Addressing the programme, O Nabakishore said that all public related works will be translated into action in an innovative way and the Government will make efforts to make all District administrations effective.

The Chief Secretary said that developmental works in the State will be examined along with officers of different departments.
He said the state administration will be made more effective with the use of information technology besides giving adequate focus on planning.
On the occasion, the Chief Secretary also lauded the teaching community of Ningthoukhong and said it was the teachers with sacrificial spirit who could give proper guidance to students so that they could become the pillars of society in future.
Commerce and Industries Minister Govindas Konthoujam who attended the function as Chief Guest said that appointing O Nabakishore as the new Chief Secretary of Manipur will help in expediting Government strategies.
He said with an efficient and experienced officer like Nabakishore at work, many developmental works will be successfully implemented.
Social activist K Mombi attended the function as President while teachers L Dijamani, R Bishwanath, K Bhubon, L Budhichandra, RK Brajabidhu and O Babumacha were the guests of honour.
The Chief Secretary also honoured his former teachers with gifts during the function.
