Director visits health camps

Directorate of Health Services Director and National Health Mission Project Director Dr Okram Ibomcha has said that flood affected people will be provided medicines free of cost.
This was announced during a visit at the relief camps of flood affected areas in Bishnupur and Thoubal districts.
Directorate of Health Services has been conducting free medical camps for the flood affected people at the relief camps.
As a part of this venture, a health camp was organized at Chairen Leingangtabi Primary Health Centre in Bishnupur district today.
Around 120 people turned up for the camp where doctors conducted health check-ups and provided free medicines.
Medicines for diarrhoea, skin ailments, antibiotics, chlorine tablets were distributed at relief camps of Borayangbi, Kumbi Chairen Mangjil, Chadonpokpi, Wangoo in Thoubal district.
The Director also inspected Kha Thinungei Moirang PHSC, Kumbi PHC, Chiren Leingangtabi PHC under Bishnupur district and Sagang PHC in Churachandpur district regarding infrastructural development and improving delivery room for institutional delivery.
The Director said that the health camps and visits at relief camps were part of emergency measures taken up by the Government.
Heath camps are organized in various flood affected areas of the State, he said and added that Health Department has enough stock of medicines and all these would be distributed free of cost to flood affected people.
