The All Tribal Students' Union, Manipur(ATSUM)has lauded the Government of Manipur for the 'prompt response' in taking care of the traumatised children of Manipur rescued from Jaipur on March 12 .
ATSUM said Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh, State Principal Secretary (Home) Suresh Babu and some MLAs have done commendable task by promptly receiving and assuring the kids of extending assistance.
ATSUM also lauded Ukhrul Deputy Commissioner R Sudhan for assuring that some sort of crash courses will be given to the rescued children.
However, ATSUM wondered if it was due to the failure of the parents and the government from their duties that the children were trafficked when there have been Right to Education (RTE) of children is one of the central themes of the government.
"Is there any need to send the children to a place like Jaipur when education under RTE can be imparted to the children in the state itself?", asked ATSUM.
