Imphal, August 03 2020:
The Ethno Heritage Council (HERICOUN) has urged the RIMS authority and the Government to find a solution to the grievances of 404 contract basis staff of RIMS before the issue is blown out of proportion during this time of pandemic.
HERICOUN, in a statement, said the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Director (NE) in a reply letter on May 6 had notified about the outsourcing of 404 contract employees through Government e-Marketplace (GeM).
Before this letter, the Under Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on March 18 notified the Ex-post facto approval for the 404 contractual basis employees of RIMS.
The question here is after the ex-post facto approval was already given for these employees why did the Director (NE) of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare on May 6 again notified about the tender for outsourcing the 404 contract employees on the GEM while also notifying that necessary process should be completed before September.
What is surprising is that the reply received from the Ministry is from different persons.
It is still a big question what the RIMS authority had written to the Ministry.
After hearing about the outsourcing of their jobs, staff have started attending their duty wearing black badges in protest against the move.
The staff had also made appeals to authorities concerned through the media.
HERICOUN questioned the move at this critical time and demanded the RIMS authority to clarify on the matter.
