TYA appeals for repairing of AH-2 roads

Imphal, September 02 2020: The Thadou Youth Association (TYA), Joint Headquarters has called for solidarity and co-operation towards timely and quick intervention for renovation of the roads between Motbung and Sapermeina at the earliest, for the safety and wellbeing of the vehicles in particular and for the welfare and convenience of the people in the district and State as a whole.

The statement issued by the TYA, Joint Headquarters said that the road along Asian Highway No 2, between Motbung and Sapermeina is in dilapidated conditions, making it extremely difficult to commute.

In this regard, the association called upon all CSOs and student bodies of the district for unity to the cause and also urged all to show co-operation towards the development of the Highway and to extend every possible assistance.

It stated that this particular stretch and road condition of AH2 is 'too miserable' for all and need special attention as the Highway links the State with other States for supply of essential commodities etc.

For the reasons cited above, the Thadou Youth Association, Joint Headquarters has appealed to the concern authority and to the State Government to look into the grievance and renovate the road at the earliest.
