In a rare case of its kind, a PULF cadre who was released on bail has been used as a proxy to do the duty of a police commando on August 14 near Sainik School in Pangei.
The bailed out insurgent who had been doing duty of a police commando has been identified as one Md Naoba @ Boy @ Miraj @ Md Sayed Meekee (23), son of Hayed Ali of Kshetri Mayai Leikai.
He was placed on duty in place of constable Md Abash (23) s/o Hesauddin of Keirao Makha Leikai.
Constable Abash's number is 0916777 .
Official sources revealed that on August 14, constable Md Abash went home in his uniform and left his service rifle in the custody of his two friends, constable (0195219) Md Adibur Ahmad (25), son of Ali Ahmad of Kshetri Mayai Leikai and constable (0915151) Pukhrambam Surjit (29), s/o P Ningthemjao of Keirao Mayai leikai.
Md Abash's two friends gave his service rifle and uniform to Md Naoba and Naoba was then placed on duty at Pangei.
Sources further revealed that Adibur Rehman, Md Naoba and P Surjit has been detained under NSA and sent to jail.
Md Abash, though not detained under NSA, has also been sent to jail.
